Branch Manager- Sales

Griffin Greenhouse Supplies is seeking a Branch Manager with a Sales background to run our Cheshire, Connecticut office.

Summary: Oversees and is able to perform all essential functions to ensure smooth and efficient  operations of Branch by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

- Sells horticultural products and supplies to wholesale/retail and residential bysinesses from sales office, store showroom, or home office.

- Follows up with vendors/customers on any quotes, business transactions, or concerns. 

- Ensures customer showroom, warehouse and offices are in prime condition.

- Strives to maintain/increase branch sales and gross profit goals. 

- Ensures facility is compliant with OSHA, local state and federal safety regulations. 

- Analyses lost sales and communicates reason to corporate office. 

- Researches and analyses branch targeted marketplace, competitors' services, promotion, and pricing strategies by reporting them to corporate office for approval. 

-Manages Outside Sales representative to ensure that day-to-day operational procedures and guidelines are not compromised while meeting customer needs. 

-Manages warehouse and sales employees

- Other duties as assigned.

Education, Training, Experience:

Must be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision and must be able to perform, computer, and basic operational tasks within the first 90 days. A four year college degree in business or related field is preferred or equivalent industry and management experience.
