STOCK TANK CONSIDERATIONS
Be aware of your daily and weekly water use. Stock tanks
should be sized to supply nutrient concentrate for 2-3 days of
irrigation for organic, or longer for conventional fertilizers.
Color matters! Choosing an opaque, dark-colored tank material
will cut down on potential algae growth within stock solution.
Decide how many stock tanks you need ahead of time by
reviewing your fertilizer plan.
Rinse out stock tanks thoroughly when switching fertilizer
formulations. All residue from your previous stock solution
should be removed to avoid any potential cross contamination
or reactions.
Fertilizer stock tanks can be as large as necessary.
