It’s not too early to book perennials for your 2023 sales and beyond. With such high
demand the past two years, it is better to get your orders in early, than to wait and miss out.

Perennial Performance First year, and even second year, introductions are usually in limited quantities; it’s just the nature of the beast.

If your perennial ordering philosophy has been to wait until summer or later, you may miss your
perennial opportunities for late 2022 and even 2023.

Here are some 2022 new introductions and a few more to consider for your 2023 benches.

                                                                                                           ®
                                                                                    ‘FUNKY FUCHSIA’
Another Dianthus? Yes, and one you will
want to add to your Dianthus line up for
2023. With fully double, fuchsia flowers this
one should really stand out amongst
the other pinks on your benches.
Blue-green foliage makes a great contrast
                                                                                  to the uniquely fuchsia flowers.

ASTILBE ‘DARK SIDE OF THE MOON’
This new Proven Winner introduction looks to be the real deal. The only dark
leaved Astilbe with purple flowers, it is sure to be a WOW plant. Walters Gardens
recommends planting it in the sun, in the north, to have the best foliage and
flowering color. It also performs well in the shade. This would look great paired
up with plants with chartreuse foliage such as Hosta or Carex.

ECHINACEA COLOR CODED ‘ONE IN A MELON’
                                               ®
What a beautiful color! Not a true yellow, and not a strong orange; melon it
is. Large flowers of 5" – 5 ½", with horizontally held petals, this is sure to be an
appreciated addition to the herbaceous perennial border.
