HERE ARE THE INSIGHTS AND BENEFITS OF THE
VEGETATIVE SUNFINITY® DOUBLE PRODUCTION:
• Root the Sunfinity Double Yellow using a larger cell size like a 72 or 50-cell tray. At
®
Syngenta Flowers we say “treat it like a dahlia” – generate the liner in three weeks and
don’t pinch during propagation, shear or pinch just before or at transplant.
• Maintain good fertility and proper airflow in propagation; however, avoid the liner from
drying out. Desiccation of the rooted cutting can lead to severe necrosis of the foliage.
Use B-Nine WSG early at 2,500 ppm and hold liner growth with Bonzi sprench
®
®
concentrations of 0.5 to 1 ppm at the finishing stage.
®
• Trial work has shown that the Sunfinity Double Yellow can be pinched at transplant, so
this means less touches during production. Leave 4 to 6 nodes on the plant by removing
just the shoot tip.
®
®
• Sunfinity Double Yellow uses half as much PGR as compared to the Sunfinity seed
types. Concentrations of Bonzi at 1 to 2 ppm can be applied a few weeks out from finish.
®
• Sunfinity Double Yellow has powdery mildew resistance. It is recommended to apply a
®
broad-spectrum fungicide for root and shoot protection, as well as a systemic insecticide
for pest prevention.
HERE ARE THE INSIGHTS AND BENEFITS OF SEED
SUNFINITY® PRODUCTION:
• The flexibility of seed Sunfinity to sow it when you want to sow it, is a grower benefit, and
®
it is very easy to program. It is 4 weeks in the 72-cell plug tray and 8 weeks to finish in
gallon and larger containers.
• Different seed varieties, same protocol: There is more vigor with the Yellow Dark Center,
but with summer production of the Yellow-Red Bicolor, the same production protocols can
be adopted.
• Sunfinity 's exceptional first flush of blooms transforms summer retail spaces with bold,
®
pollinator-friendly displays that attract both customers and beneficial wildlife. For optimal
®
Sunfinity production, use the Sunfinity Culture and PGR Guide to help achieve retail
®
®
specification goals. For example, using a proactive approach, B-Nine WSG at 5,000
®
ppm 10 to 14 days after the pinch followed by well-timed Bonzi drenches at two critical
growth stages: visible bud and cracked color helps growers consistently produce uniform,
retail-ready plants. Proactive PGR timings eliminate the need for reactive corrections,
streamlining summer production! For a detailed PGR guide, please visit: https://www.
