typically smaller plants with more petite flowers but their flower
power more than makes up for their diminutive size.
The Penny and Sorbet series have more than 30 colors each,
allowing you to create your own unique offer. These traditional
violas are great in beds, color bowls and in combinations. The
“jump-up” colors are a fabulous new twist on the Johnny Jump-
Ups your grandmother grew. Colors like Penny Primrose Picotee
and Sorbet Phantom are irresistible at retail! Both series include
some amazing designer mixes; check them out for the showiest
color bowls—no design savvy required.
If you want larger flowers, try the new ColorMax viola series.
ColorMax is a traditional viola with an extra-large flower. This
10-color series includes unique colors like Berry Pie, a rich dark
purple with a yellow-edged blotch and Icy Blue, a beautiful
primrose bloom with a lavender-blue halo.
My vote for the very best in weather tolerance and flowering
performance (both fall and spring!) goes to the Endurio series.
Endurio has a spreading, mounding habit that’s fantastic in
bowls, baskets and in the landscape. It creates a carpet of color
that withstands both heat and cold. And the series is nearly
day neutral, staying in color late into the fall and re-blooming as
soon as the snow melts in the spring.
With their relatively small stature, violas may seem like the
underdogs of the cool-season crops. Don’t underestimate these
guys, though—they pack a colorful punch!

Fides has six new additions across several Mystic Mums families:
Daybreak, Eventide, Meridien and Sunbeam. You won’t want to
miss Daybreak Solar Flame and its striking contrast of yellow and
orange flowers.
Syngenta Flowers rolled out three standalone colors to supplement
or upgrade several existing families. Beverly Bronze Bicolor
complements the Chelsey and Danielle families. Ashley Cinnamon
adds depth to the Yoder season extenders for natural-season
production. Last but not least, Shannon White represents an
upgrade over the former Tiffany White variety.
