LETTUCE
PPFD: 300-400 µmol/m /s range
2
DLI: 17 mols/day ideal
Photoperiod: 12-16 hours
Special Considerations? Lettuce does not have a photoperiodic
flowering response; it will begin to flower under higher temperatures
or as it ages past the harvest point. Some lettuce varieties will
tolerate 24 hours of light, and many producers run a 24 hour
photoperiod for seedlings.
ORNAMENTAL LINERS AND PLUGS
PPFD: 50-150 µmol/m /s range
2
DLI: 4-8 mols/day range
Photoperiod:14-18 hours
Special Considerations? Ornamental liners and plugs most often must
be grown under long days to keep plants vegetative, but do not require high
light conditions for appropriate growth. This means lights stay on longer at
lower intensities to meet both the photoperiod and DLI requirements.
