The Role of Plantex® Iron

Iron is an essential micronutrient that plays a critical role in plant health, supporting
processes such as photosynthesis and respiration, enzyme formation and function, and
nitrogen fixation. Iron deficiencies are common in greenhouse environments where
growing conditions and media properties can greatly limit the availability of this vital
element. Iron products chelated with DTPA (Diethylene triamine pentaacetate) or EDDHA
(Ethylene diamine dihydroxyphenylacetic acid) are highly effective solutions for maintaining
optimal iron levels in plants when media conditions are not ideal.
