PATRIOTISM HAS DEEP ROOTS
We are making a comeback from new lessons learned. Dependency has been an ugly word for our
country, but it’s a word of promise for the lawn and garden industry. Every crisis has seen American’s
rallying to do what’s needed to change and adapt. You would best believe that Americans are going to re-
think what affects their families and themselves. The mindset is in place to turn away from foreign products
and replace our buying power with American Made products. Support Local, Buy Local has stepped up
it's game to the mantra of “Buy American” once again. As you are selling American made products, you
can count on getting the consumer’s attention by recognizing them as “Made in America.” Get your
American flags out and order a bunch more for an expected surge of American pride. Wartime efforts
brought about Victory Gardens, technological gains, retooled factories, and the will to work together to
make a difference, protect our homeland and resources, and survive. It is also the time for giving and
sharing. We will surely need more community gardens and food banks in many cities across the country
for those in need. (Continued on next page.)
