OPTIMIZING PESTICIDE PERFORMANCE:
WATER QUALITY, SHELF-LIFE, AND SPRAY COVERAGE
(West only)
Speaker: George Grant, Ph.D. GGSPro Technical Services Manager
With growing concerns around pesticide resistance, it’s more important than ever for growers to adopt best management practices that help preserve the effectiveness of their chemical control tools. Using the right pesticide for the right pest is just one part of the equation — join us as we explore other critical factors, including the importance of starting water quality, maintaining a fresh chemical inventory, and ensuring proper spray coverage. These three elements are often overlooked or misunderstood, yet each plays a vital role in maximizing pesticide performance and successful pest management. This presentation will provide a clearer understanding of how water quality affects spray water, how pesticide formulations influence shelf life, and how sprayer technology and application methods contribute to achieving the best possible results from your chemical program.
